Pharmacie Riviera 24h/24 (de Garde)

In a nutshell: Count your money carefully if 1) speak no French 2) pay in cash First of all, I'm grateful that this store existed because all the other pharmacies close at 7pm. This is the only one in the area open 24/7 6 days a week (I think, hence the long line when it opened at 8pm on Sunday night). However, the customer service is atrocious. Everything was fine the first time I went, but when I went again the next day at around the same time to buy the exact same thing, I was charged extra. When I questioned the extra charges and showed the clerk my receipt from the previous day, there was A LOT of eye-rolling and scoffing from the female clerk who was checking us out (we were tourist who didn't speak any French, and the clerk only knew some English). She eventually explained that there was this thing called "night tax," which we then accepted, but then didn't give us the correct change. Our total was 42.90 and we paid 50 euros, but she only gave us 1.10 euros in return. When we went back for the rest of our money, she scoffed at us again and gave us back 5 euros, which was still wrong. Regarding the "night tax" - we still don't know what it is. None of the hotel staff we asked had ever heard of it, either, but reassured us that if it was printed on the receipt, then it should be legitimate, though it may or may not have anything to do with the time. They said they would check for us during the day but we were leaving in a couple of hours. Hopefully they found out and would let other foreign tourists know about this so they wouldn't go through the same thing we did.

The overnight pharmacy had no waiting time and provided a very speedy service.

This is probably the only pharmacy that opens after 5pm within 3km radius. The area is a bit shady, and there’s a main metro station there. I would advise to stay cautious, and avoid looking too flashy.

Great pharmacy in the middle of the city. The staff was really helpful even tho I didn't speak any French. We had an emergency and needed medicines around midnight on Saturday, and the place was open and they gave me multiple different medicines. It helped me greatly.

It appears it is quite hard to find a place in Nice to do PCR for traveling. Phamacie Riviera is one of a few places which offers it and the service runs the whole day (and not stops at 2 or 3pm). The staff is amazing. When the lab was very slow with sending tests results, the pharmacy helped with the issue and resolved it
